Odds and Ends

Just odds and ends of this week...We ventured to the zoo today..We loved seeing the penguins fed..Every Friday they feed the penguins hundreds of live fish...One can watch the fish try to escape only to be swallowed up by one fat penguin.....
The final look of the dresser..love it and haven't even filled it all the way yet...

Tonight's dinner...Homemade Pizza..Quattro Stagione...boy was it good....tomatos,ham,Kalmata olives, artichokes, and olive oil drizzles over it...yummm

Continuation

Peter "surprised" me last night with a dinner to our favorite restaurant Buenes Aires...we love the meat and the tango dancers....He had this elabrately planned...Kristi was to watch the kids and my boss was to make sure I was working late that night...All went well..except I found out about it so it wasn't a great surprise...but I kept it a secret for two weeks..that's a record for me....Kristi took the kids to dinner at Gordon Biersch and then the movie "Up" while we enjoyed our date....Thanks Peter and Kristi...What a great Birthday!

Happy Birthday to Me.....

Ok so today is not exactly my Birthday but this year I was spoiled and was able to celebrate it over a few days...Mom came over on Tuesday to play..We wandered (lost) our way around the Sodo district of Seattle then went to my favorite greek restaurant in Magnolia...yumm...then Mom spoiled me and got me the rest of the knobs needed for the dresser...Thanks Mom..the card was great too..Thanks Dad....I got lots of cards..most of them sang..Is that saying something?

On Wednesday, my actual B-Day...I took it easy..My visiting teachers dropped off a yummy cake and some beautiful Tulips..I don't think they knew that tulips are my favorite flower..We ate grand that night..McDonalds...I didn't care as long as I didn't cook...

On Thursday my great friend Jennifer organized a picnic in my honor...I loved having my friends around on a nice cloudy Seattle day (the rain held off)...It was fun...Plus yummy Brownies..

This next part is for Mom..she gave the suggestion of rising my curtains in the living room..Done..sewed some ribbon on and moved them up so they don't drag on the ground anymore...Good Idea....

Busy Weekend..

We had a busy Saturday....I of course went to work and left Peter with all the errands...First was a haircut for Alex..much need....then off to the Dentist for teeth cleaning..My kids love the dentist..They will brag to everyone about their upcoming dentist appointment...They love getting their teeth cleaned and of course the toy from the prize box..This time they finished before Peter..The dentist introduced his two new assistants to Peter..He looked over and there were Alex and Anna-Maria suited up to assist..with face masks, gloves, and their own mouth mirrors..Wow...

After that Anna-Maria was off to a Birthday Party...she is wearing the flower from the party in her hair for church today.....

Makeover

Mom and Dad may kill me for this but when they asked if I wanted a dresser I said "yes"...I was visualizing a tall one but when I saw this one I knew exactly what I wanted..A Buffet Table instead...It turned out great...I even distressed it a little, just like Dad will be when he finds out...I have to wait to get the middle pulls because they will cost more than I want to spend now...

Anna-Maria's Alphabet

Anna-Maria's Kindergarten Musical was today..She did a great job remembering her lines....Nana, Papa, Dad, and Mom were able to attend...Now if only I could get the songs out of my head....

Yellow Lake

Yes..we did have 90 degree weather..not anymore..Peter took the kids on a walk to the local lake to feed the ducks.....

A couple of projects for a joint Baby shower tomorrow..One of the gals only speaks spanish so I did her saying in her native language..Don't worry I also bought them some cute outfits for the babies...

Not much going on around here..I'm excited that Mom and Dad are in the area for a couple of weeks before they head forever down to Medford. Alex has been sick with the stomach flu, which will make me sick just thinking about it.....

I also am stealing two window displays from work in a couple of weeks..must figure out what to do with them in the house....
