After a 3 hours tour in the car..we arrived at Fort Vancouver...the kids loved the reenactments and the guides..One can get a lot for a beaver fur..
make you grateful for modern conveniences..
Then it was off to Multnomah Falls. We first stopped at the Gorge.

it was freezing cold glacier water..
The Falls were beautiful but soooo crowded..It was elbow to elbow to get to the bridge half way up...
Anna-Maria of course loved poising everywhere..

We couldn't find it for awhile..we didn't realize it was
next to the airport..We were so close we had
airplanes landing on our noses..Once you were inside you would
never have known you were that close..great
soundproofing..
The hotel was ultra modern and fun...We
played pool as a family..
(Anna-Maria quit when she couldn't reach have the balls).
The kids played in the pool with Peter while I had quiet time...
Monday was time to play downtown Portland..We headed
hour and a 1/2. The kids loved the farm part and the Amazon..
I loved the exit part myself...Next stop Powells book store.
Alex drooled over the militarty section and I drooled over the
cookbooks..Anna-Maria just want to leave..We walked around
downtown, did some shopping then headed to the car..On the way out of
town we found the Jamison Square..It is so European with cafes that

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun-filled weekend! It must be nice having your kids older now and easier to travel with. But what am I saying, you guys are always traveling. You've got to give me some pointers, since any trip with the kids that isn't to Disneyland sounds like a nightmare to me.
