Spring

I am so ready for Spring but it is reluctant to show...I am starting to decorate for Easter anyway because of course the Bunny shows up rain or shine....I hope the Bunny doesn't forget that I like Chocolate..

Playdate

We had a party at the house today...We had some cute little friends over and the kids had a ball..It helps that I bribed them with cookies...

Fender Bender

My Car...

Adventure for the day..Peter is starting to think we are unlucky..Last night we were egged again and today I was in a fender bender..The traffic stopped quickly, I did not..The car in front of me drove away with a scratch and I have cosmetic damage. The car behind me though..has his lights in his engine...Anna-maria was shaken up but didn't cry in the car..Car Insurance to the rescue...

Costco Run

The house is empty and for once I don't appreciate it...it's too quiet...I've already had mommy time today when Anna-Maria was in school...Peter took the kids to the Seattle Costco for new tires and yes that means cheap dinner for three..I on the other hand am off in a couple of hours to a babyshower..one of many lately..I guess it's time to sing out loud...

day at the zoo..double the animals

A wet and fun day at the Seattle Zoo..the kids had the day off so we had to do something..why not the zoo, not like it's going to rain or something....We had a blast with our friends Zoe, Adriel, and Alison...The animals cooperated and the beasts were interesting to look at too....We only got soaked on our way back to the car after four hours of fun..

Irish Weather

Daddy day downtown Seattle..Peter needed to go downtown for a haircut and timed it just right with the St.Patty's Day parade..So of course they had to eat lunch at an Irish Pub..cornish pasties...then the parade, then some face painting at the Seattle Center Irish festivals...They were happy but exhausted when they arrived home.

When I grow up

Anna-Maria's friend Zoe came over for a no school day...it was play with makeup day for them..I wanted to do crazy hair but they just wanted to look pretty...so we did the eyes, cheeks, mouth, and nails..They are practising the grown up thing...just not too fast...

floundering....

Today is the day of adventures...School was delayed two hours because of the snow..Anna-Maria's was cancelled all together....I had friends over this morning to visit and play and boy did they..I love it when they come because they entertain Anna-Maria for me...it was funny thougth..at one point we hear the sound of lots of little items crashing to the floor, next the guilty look of a boy then the discovery of a floundering fish on the floor..The tank had been pulled over, rocks,water and fish on the floor....Just laugh and clean up..that's all you can do...I love it..I wouldn't trade moments like that for the boring times of life...

regrets

I know they say never regret the past but look to improve the future but I do regret some things..Reading my friend Robin's blog reminded me of yesterday..Anna-Maria has to turn in a report on her as a baby....What was her fist word, what did she do that was funny, etc...I don't remember....I never recorded those events..It was pre-blog time....I can remember her as a two year old but not before..She screamed a lot but that isn't what you want to be remembered for...The whole thing reminded me why journal writing is important...Memories fade, technology doesn't....
