To the Beach we Go.
Alex's grade had a field trip to Alki Beach in Seattle, famous for it's tide pools..We slipped, splashed, and dug our way through the beach in search of the extraordinary...Wet and tired we head home after a couple of hours later..having found some really cool species...like this photo of a Shaggy Mouse... I was given a really great group of kids, including my own..who were willing to get dirty and touch almost anything...

Toothless
Eater Fun
Easter is always a fun time for kids and adults..another excuse for a sugar load..The baskets were hidden and the eggs were found..This might be our last year before she figures it out..Santa is easier to believe...It was a great day..A day to remember our blessings. We hung out with friends and talked with family...perfect...

Sunday Walk
After the morning conference we ventured out into the nice, sunny, warm day..something we haven't seen in months....We took a three mile walk through the woods near by..The kids only complained for the last part of it...I'm hot,,I'm thirsty.......
Romance not lost...
Last night I came home to kids being put to bed and a husband thinking of others...There is a romantic streak in him after all..The bed had flower petals on it and the the bathtub was surrounded by candles and petals...The bath was drawn with bubbles...He knows that I am tired when I get home from a long days work...I was able to soak in the tub and relax...my feet were massaged and lotioned..what more can I ask for....the one funny thing was the "fire do not cross the line' tape left over from our accident in Vancouver was on the bathroom door. I guess with all the candles he was afraid of having a visit from the fire department....Thank you Peter...I loved it...

First Thursday
Every month on the First Thursday all the galleries in Seattle are open late..It's a great time to explore the Pioneer Square area..Peter and I took this as our date night..It was downpour rain but we survived. We were excited to visit a couple of friends' galleries..First Stanley Hainsworth's Tether Gallery...Very retro....and then Sam Day's ( the photo is his work). Sam will be closing shop and working from home so we wanted to view his gallery at least once..It was an enjoyable night and we'd like to repeat it in the summer when it's warmer....we didn't get to all the galleries since we only had about an hour...Great Date...
